Trans Model agency in NYC aims to represent in fashion magazines

We are checking-in on a ground-breaking business... a transgender modelling agency that is shattering myths and barriers. We speak with the founder of Trans Model agency in New York that has a full roster of transgender models.
Peche Di (3rd from left) started Trans Model agency because as a transgender model in New York it was difficult for her to find work. Not anymore. Trans Models clients include Smirnoff, Budweiser, Candy magazine and ID magazine. (transmodel.com)
"I'd like to dedicate my performance and this award to the transgender community. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your courage. Thank you for your stories. Thank you for your inspiration. Thank you for letting us be part of the change."- Jeffrey Tambor Emmys Acceptance Speech for his role in 'Transparent'

Jeffrey Tambor's Emny award was only one of several that Transparent won on Sunday, and the show's success is only the latest positive story for the transgender community this year.

But, of course, it's not all easy going.

Most transgender people still face difficult challenges in everyday life...and most will never be on the cover of Vanity Fair, like Caitlyn Jenner, or the cover of Time Magazine, like Laverne Cox last year.

Peche Di t is trying to help with that...by getting transgender models on the pages of magazines around the world.
She is a transgender woman and the founder of the Trans Models modelling agency. We reached her in New York.
