'I Quit!': Author Matt Potter on how resignations shaped history
The summer season is in full, glorious bloom. And if you're watching it pass by while toiling away at a job you can't stand, you may be tempted to finally say "I quit" -- and get out there to smell the roses.
With that in mind, we bring you someone who has studied the art of quitting.
Journalist and historian Matt Potter spoke with Anna Maria Tremonti last January about his book, "F*** You and Goodbye: The Dark and Hilarious History of the Resignation."
Matt Potter mentioned one of his favourite resignations ever is when Geoffrey Howe resigned from Margaret Thatcher's cabinet.
