Welcome to Quirks & Quarks Question Period.
Today's question comes to us from Blair MacNeil of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who asked the following: "Is is true that in order for sap to flow from maple trees they need sun in the day and frost at night?"
To help us answer this question we've contacted Dr. Matthew Leitch from the Wood Science Testing Laboratory in the Forestry Department at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay.
