Jael Richardson's book pick: On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong

Jael Richardson is q's books columnist. She drops by every couple weeks to fill us in on a new book to check out. Today, she talks about the debut novel by award-winning poet Ocean Vuong called On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous. 

The book is written in the form of a letter from a son to his mother and it draws from some of Vuong's experiences as the son of a Vietnamese mother who fled the country and lives with the trauma of war.
