Kwame Alexander on the power of poetry and young people
Kwame Alexander performs some pieces from his new YA book Swing, a coming-of-age story told entirely through poetry.
Acclaimed poet Kwame Alexander joins Tom Power live in the q studio to talk about writing poems for young people, and to perform some pieces from his new YA book Swing. It's a coming-of-age story told through 400 pages of poetry, about two teenage boys who are navigating first love, throwing house parties and freaking out about making the baseball team. Swing is out now.
