Pablo Ortiz Monasterio, the curator of a new exhibit of Frida Kahlo's photos, reveals what's still mysterious and controversial about this iconic art figure.

Frida Kahlo's art is everywhere: posters, T-shirts, iPhone cases — she even appears as a character in Disney/Pixar's current animated hit Coco. Despite the massive pop culture obsession, there are still things we don't know about her, some of which will be revealed in a new exhibit of her photos coming to Calgary's Glenbow Museum. Pablo Ortiz Monasterio is the curator and he'll tell us what's still mysterious — and controversial — about this iconic art figure.
