Ryan Adams performs from self-titled, self-produced new album
Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams is back after a three year pause in his musical output.

Ryan Adams is famously prolific -- releasing, on average, an album a year alongside a bevy of EPs and live recordings. His latest effort is already a critical hit, but it's special for several other reasons.
Not only is it the first album he's released after an unusual three-year pause, but it's also the follow to a different collection he recorded but ultimately shelved. It makes sense that the new record is self-titled: he recorded it on his own, in his new home studio, without the input of an outside producer.
Today Adams joins guest host Tom Power to discuss his self-produced effort and perform two songs live.
