'Athletes want to be well-rounded people': Zach Hyman on his new children's book and exploring his passions

There's an idea that you can only have one passion, or one career, without sacrificing your focus and dedication to that pursuit. But that's just a misconception, and Zach Hyman is living proof.

At just 25-years-old, the Toronto Maple Leafs forward has just published a new children's picture book called The Magician's Secret. The story is about a boy whose grandfather wants him to believe in the power of imagination, and while the book has nothing to do with hockey, Hyman still found a way to draw inspiration from his own life.

In a conversation with q guest host Ali Hassan, Hyman explains how he began writing and why he thinks its important for athletes to pursue their creative passions.
