In August, two bus drivers were shot in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Newspaper reports suggested that a woman calling herself "Diana, the Huntress of Bus Drivers" claimed responsibility for the killings, saying it was revenge for sexual violence against women in Juarez. The story is set against a history of murders of women in Juarez that some call "femicide" - the murder of women simply because they are women. Molly Molloy is a research librarian at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, who has been documenting Juarez murders since 2008. Molloy is also the co-author of El Sicario with Charles Bowden. Brent spoke to Molly Molloy about why her research has led her to have doubts about how the story of murdered women in Juarez is told, and what the numbers really mean.
