How a fisherman's helper ad inspired Nova Scotia distillery
Nova Scotia Spirit Company thrives in Trenton. But the inspiration for their name and brand came from an unexpected place.

Evan MacEachern and his partners were looking for a name and a brand for their new distillery when they found a piece of paper taped to their building.
It read:
"Local lobster fisherman from Ballantyne's Cove, Antigonish Co. is interested in hiring a helper for the summer. Basic requirement: sober, alert & willing to learn".
From that ad came the name: "Nova Scotia Spirit Company." It also inspired the team's products, including Willing to Learn Gin and Fisherman's Helper White Rum.
