Man stabbed near Metcalfe succumbs to injuries

The Ottawa Police Service's homicide unit is investigating after a 66-year-old man who was stabbed near Metcalfe nearly two weeks ago succumbed to his injuries.

The Ottawa Police Service's homicide unit is investigating after a 66-year-old man who was stabbed near Metcalfe nearly two weeks ago succumbed to his injuries.

Roger Dale Lusk was found stabbed near Ira Morgan Way in the city's south end when police responded to a disturbance call around 11 a.m. on Sept. 23.

Lusk was initially listed in critical condition but his injuries were not considered life-threatening. He died over the weekend, according to police.

Police have not said whether they're searching for a suspect, but said Monday there's no longer any risk to public safety.
