Inmate dead at Her Majesty's Penitentiary, multiple sources confirm

CBC News has learned that an inmate has died inside Her Majesty's Penitentiary in St. John's.

The cause of death is unknown. 

Multiple sources confirmed the death on Saturday. 

CBC News has asked the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and the Department of Justice for comment.

Neither replied by the time of publication.
