Police arrest 16-year-old suspect in fatal shooting in Montreal's West Island
The suspect was already jailed in Kitchener, Ont., on armed robbery charges.
Suspect expected to appear in court Friday
Montreal police have arrested a 16-year-old suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in a Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que., parking lot in February.
He was already behind bars in Kitchener, Ont., on armed robbery charges.
Officers found the victim, 42, in a vehicle near the corner of Des Sources and Brunswick boulevards. His death was the fifth homicide on territory covered by Montreal police this year.
Police said two suspects fled in a stolen vehicle. That car was found the day after the shooting.
The suspect is expected to appear in court by video conference on Friday and be charged with first-degree murder.
