London police arrest 13-year-old boy in south-end robbery
The youth allegedly brandished a knife at a group of teen boys, police say
A 13-year-old boy in London, Ont. is facing charges after a robbery in the city's south end on Wednesday.
He approached a group of teen boys police alleged he knew on a residential street in the area of Homeview Road and Crawford Street at around 3:40 p.m. ET that day.
He allegedly brandished a knife, made threats and demanded property from one of the boys. The victim sustained minor injuries. He was able to get away and call police without requiring medical attention.
Officers with the London Police Service (LPS) located the boy and arrested him on Thursday.
As a result of the investigation he has been charged with one count of robbery. He cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused is set to appear in court in relation to the charge in December.
