Arrest in fatal shooting

A Newfoundland man has been arrested in Halifax in connection with a British Columbia killing dating back six years.

Wade Skiffington, 33, will face a murder charge in the death of Wanda Lee Martin also from Newfoundland.

Martin was shot several times while visiting a friend's apartment in Richmond in 1994. Her 18-month-old son was in the apartment at the time.

Martin had moved to B.C from Kelligrews to attend the University of British Columbia. Skiffington was her boyfriend at the time.

Skiffington is being returned to B.C. to face the charge.
