First Play Live: Black Mountain, Destroyer

Black Mountain brought its thundering new album, Destroyer, to CBC Music recently and debuted five songs from the new record while also ripping through four old gems.

Stephen McBean is joined, as usual, by Jeremy Schmidt on keys, but otherwise there's been a bit of a lineup change: Arjan Miranda is back on bass, with new additions Adam Bulgasem and Rachel Fannan add drums and vocals. The CBC Music team dug around the basement of the Toronto office and unearthed some 1970s-looking nine-lights for the shoot, which created the perfect vibe for McBean's guitar wizardry.
