The 2025 spring edition of the CBC Music Class Challenge presented by MusiCounts is officially open: you can now register here.

The prizes for this year's competition include gold record award plaques and $30,000 dollars in gift certificates which can be redeemed for instruments or any other audio gear.

New instruments spark creativity and encourage students to explore different sounds and musical styles. They broaden the curriculum, allowing for a more diverse and engaging learning experience.

Here are the prizes for this year: 

  • Categories 1-9: First place winners will receive $2,500 in music instruments from MusiCounts. First, second and third place will receive plaques.

  • Category 10: First, second and third place will receive plaques.

  • Categories 11 and 13: First place winners will receive $1,500 in music instruments from MusiCounts. First, second and third place will receive plaques.

  • Categories 12 and 14: First place winners will receive $1,500 in music instruments, plus first place plaques.
