Canadian Music Class Challenge 2022: we are now accepting your video submissions. (CBC)

Is your music class making a video for the 2020 Canadian Music Class Challenge? If so, have you registered your music class? Selected your song? Learned to perform it almost as well (or better) than the original? Have you safely created a video of the performance while following the health guidelines of your school, province or territory?

If you've answered "yes" to all of the above, then starting Oct. 6, music teachers may now submit their 2020 Canadian Music Class Challenge performance videos to CBC Music, using the instructions provided upon registration.

REGISTRATION AND VIDEO SUBMISSIONS FOR THE 2020 CANADIAN MUSIC CLASS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED.

WATCH ALL OF THIS YEAR'S SUBMITTED VIDEOS HERE.

Submitted videos are now live to the world on the CBC Music YouTube channel. Check back here on Tues. December 8 to see our finalists. Our winners will be announced on Tue. December 15. Winning classes will receive a wide range of amazing prizes. Thanks for participating!

And while there is no prizing or judging advantage to submitting your video early, we do often select and feature early entries on CBC Music, CBC Radio and CBC-TV.

How to make your own virtual music class performance video

If you feel you can't safely pull off making a music video this year, be sure to check out our COVID alternative: the lesson plan-based Canadian Music Playlist Challenge, which requires no actual musical performance.

Good luck, stay safe and have fun! If you have any questions, let us know at [email protected].
