Jane Krakowski shares the one thing you should never give your baby
Jane Krakowski is one of the funniest people in the world. As if her laugh-a-minute roles as Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock and Jacqueline Vorhees on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt weren't enough to kill us with wit, Krakowski is now Canada-bound to host The Jane Krakowski Gala at Just For Laughs in Montréal this weekend.
We spent 5 minutes with Jane Krakowski before her arrival in Montréal to get to the bottom of what matters most — how she feels about Celine Dion, of course.
You're part French Canadian on your mother's side, is that correct? Tell us everything you love about Canada — food? culture? Quebec? Montreal?
I love Canada! I've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in Montreal working and I'm really looking forward to being back for JFL. Honestly, it's crazy how European Montreal feels but with the friendly Canadian touch. And it's quite a foodie city too, isn't it? You can't go wrong when you're eating in Montreal.
Speaking of Montréal, can we please talk about Celine Dion right now?
What do you mean, what happened to Celine Dion?
Are you on Instagram?
No, I'm lucky enough to have escaped social media entirely. Why, what's with Celine Dion right now?
She's basically having an insane renaissance as the entire fashion industry's darling on Instagram right now.
Well, now I'm even more excited to be in Montreal! I guess I'm going to have to get Instagram too to check Celine out, good for her. What a diva.
Speaking of divas, what's your best advice for working moms?
Wow, tough question. Probably to not get your baby hooked on warm baby wipes because, once they experience them warm, they'll never accept anything less. And I mean, for life. They'll expect warm towel racks forever and those are hard to come by.
What's in your head before you literally step out to perform on Broadway or — gulp — at the Tony Awards?
What Would Celine Do?
[*laughs and makes mental note to mass produce bracelets with "WWCD" on them*]
Tell us everything about your JFL show but also what you want to do in Montreal when you're there.
I'm bringing some of the funniest people in the world with me, Tituss Burgess and Chris D'Elia are coming, and Jen Kirkman, Donnell Rawlings and Randy and Eman el-Husseini. It's going to be hilarious and so much fun and we can't wait to be in Montréal. As for what I'm going to do when I'm in Montreal? Eat and laugh. That's about it.
