A 5-minute yoga flow you can do while your morning coffee brews
Halifax yoga instructor Chloe Luckett shares her go-to practice for starting the day with intention and focus
Beginning the day with an activity that requires you to focus and be intentional with both your breath and your movement can help to foster mindfulness and enhance your ability to stay present as the hours roll on.
I start my morning by putting coffee on and, while I wait, I practice yoga. It's something that helps me take a physical scan of my body, and be proactive in noticing if anything's feeling off.
My typical morning flow is approachable for almost everyone. All you need is a small space, a flat surface to practice on, and a few minutes you can spare. Check out the video below to try it along with me, and as we start to build on the movements, just know that yoga is something everyone can modify to their specific needs. Always go at your own pace, and be the judge of what feels right in your body.

After a yoga flow, I finish my morning by sitting down, putting my phone away and reading with coffee for at least 20 minutes. These moments in the morning can be so revitalizing and beneficial. Today's world can often feel so on the go, so it's really important to try and find just a few minutes everyday just for you.
