#CanadaGem: Breathtaking bridges from across Canada that show off our country's architectural beauty
We here at CBC Life are just as excited as you about Canada's 150th birthday. So in the month leading up to July 1, we're showcasing some of our country's amazing hidden gems from coast to coast: totally Instagram-worthy food, tiles too pretty to *not* shoot, crazy views and more. #CanadaGem #CBClife
Aside from being supremely functional, an idyllic meeting spot fit for young lovers and, for some, a source of acute anxiety, bridges are pretty easy on the eyes, too. And when the sunset hits them juuuust right, illuminating their architectural beauty as they cascade over stretches of sparkling waters, they transform into the stuff our Instagram feeds are made of.
Luckily for us Canadians, our country is home to many of these picturesque structures, including the world's longest covered bridge, which sits overtop Saint John River in the western part of New Brunswick.
