Where New York left off, London took flight. With the focus still squarely on clear, slightly glowing skin, this season the eyes, brows, lips and nails gets the spotlight. A return of lipgloss was inevitable, and makeup artists paid specially attention to the inner corners of the eye, adding shimmer here and there for an ethereal look. And another surprise? After years of eyebrows being a main attraction, model du jour Jay Wright's sparsely adorned eyes were a refreshing and modern change.

Here are our five favourite beauty looks from London Fashion Week.

The Trend: Glossy lips

The Shows: Julien MacDonald, Toga, Anya Hindmarch, Roland Mouret, Mary Katrantzou, Nicopanda

The Details: Guys, grab that Glossier Lip Gloss stat! High shine was definitely present in London, whether on bare lips (how '90s) or on top of pinky, beige or skin-toned lipstick. At Julien Macdonald, they accompanied a smokey eye and bronzed cheeks, while at Toga the complemented false metallic blue and silver lashes that sat on the outer corner of the eye. And at Nicopanda, Nicola Formichetti started the show with a fresh from the gym look, including glossy hair and slick lips.

The Trend: Brushed out, fluffy curls

The Shows: Ashish, Simone Rocha, Marques' Almeida, Markus Lupfer

The Details: When stylist weren't leaving models' with naturally textured hair, it was either super sleek or puffed up—and we loved the fluffy look. At the Markus Lupfer presentation, the hair team went with a greasy up top look, with brushed out curls on the bottom, for a slept-in for about a week look. But the best curls came at Marques'Almeida, where models sported long middle-parted tresses that were oh-so-fluffy. At Simone Rocha, combed through curls were held in place by pearl-encrusted pins, which were so romantic beauty watchers can't stop talking about them.

The Trend: Pale Nails

The Shows: Faustine Steinmetz, David Koma, Antonio Berardi, Anya Hindmarch

The Details: At David Koma, nail artist Ama Quashie went for a creamy beige on slightly round nails, a naturally pretty look to be sure. For Faustine Steinmetz, white nails were accented with a diagonal beige slash or a beige-based bed was slashed with black lines. Elsewhere, like at Antonio Berardi, bare-ish nails with a subtle backdrop to Henna artist Pavan's lacey white and black tattoos that snaked up the models' hands.

The Trend: Natural eyebrows

The Shows: Emilia Wickstead, Pringle of Scotland, Antonio Berardi, Roland Mouret

The Details: Once upon a time Cara Delevingne's brows were coveted the world over. But now, enter Jay Wright, whose wispy brows (which were still groomed with gel, just not filled in with powder) were spotted at so many shows this season, it was hard not to notice how lovely they faintly framed her eyes. Could she be the next model to the up the great brow debate?

The Trend: Shine or shadow on the eyes

The Shows: Osman, Palmer Harding, Ralph & Russo, Christopher Kane, Rejina Pyo, Temperly London

The Details: The inner corner of the eye was definitely in the zone for makeup artists this season. At Ralph & Russo, the team went statement-making with silver and green metallic shadow that went from inner corner to below the lower lash line, while over at Christopher Kane, the girls were adorned with a subtle champagney shimmer highlighting the eyes on the inside bridge of the nose.
