This heartfelt collection features recipes that have been passed down to chefs and food creators by the influential women in their lives. Every dish on this list pays homage to the mothers, grandmothers, aunties and friends who shaped their culinary journeys. 

Mango Lassi Chia Pots 

Yakuta Yamani calls this simple breakfast recipe "a nod to [her] grandma's tradition of whipping up mango lassi as soon as the fruit was in season."

Judy's Empanadas 

Eric Kim's empanada recipe from his cookbook Korean American: Food That Tastes Like Home, comes from his mom's friend Judy.

Mini Blinis with Smoked Tomato 

Montreal-based food writer Murielle Banackissa created a vegan version of mini blinis, a traditional Russian dish that has been a staple of her mom's Christmas menu for decades.
