Why your plans for Family Day should include a trip to the movies
Amil Niazi and Teri Hart discuss the new children's films Dog Man and Paddington in Peru

If you're looking for an animated adventure that the whole family can enjoy, then you're in luck.
Dog Man is new film now in theatres about a character who is, as you might guess, part-dog and part-man. Born out of a surgery that saved the lives of both a faithful police dog and his human police handler by fusing the two of them together, Dog Man must now face challenges like embracing his new identity, impressing his boss, and keeping the city safe from supervillains. It's the latest film from DreamWorks Animation, and it's based on the New York Times bestselling book series of the same name by Dav Pilkey (the brains behind the Captain Underpants series).
Another family-friendly move now in theatres is Paddington in Peru, the third installment of the film franchise. This live-action animated comedy sees Paddington Bear off on his biggest adventure yet: returning home to Peru with the Brown family, after receiving a mysterious letter about his Aunt Lucy. The cast includes Julie Walters, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas and Hayley Atwell.
Today on Commotion, parenting columnist Amil Niazi and entertainment reporter Teri Hart join host Elamin Abdelmahmoud to share their thoughts on the new children's movies Dog Man and Paddington in Peru.
